A Nurse Needs to Find Outside Help

A nurse needs to find outside help:

  1. If you lose joy in the things that used to bring you joy
  2. If you lose your sense of humor
  3. If you begin to rely on alcohol, tobacco, caffeine or other mood-altering substances
  4. If you become more irritable than usual

What to do:

  • Speak with a trusted friend, colleague, supervisor
  • Seek out professional help
  • Call the national helpline 1-800-662-4357 (help)
  • Call the suicide prevention lifeline 1-800-273-8255 (talk)
